Project Partners & Resources

Project Partners

The following partners are working on this project:

  • Lanit Consulting, Inc is a technology consulting company in Columbia, MO. In 2002, LANIT developed an electronic portfolio management and assessment system for the University of Missouri's College of Education.
  • The eMINTS National Center - The goal of eMINTS is to transform how teachers teach and students learn with professional development and support from certified instructional specialists or eMINTS staff (in Missouri).The eMINTS philosophy is based on transforming teaching using inquiry-based methods and strategies powered by technology. The eMINTS program seeks to help teachers use technology in ways that change student engagement and student products through high-quality professional development and in-classroom support.The eMINTS National Center is a resource base for Missouri schools and districts as well as for other states that wish to collaborate with eMINTS staff and with one another to replicate the eMINTS instructional model (high quality teaching powered by technology) within their educational systems.
  • Two partner schools are cooperating with the grant in conducting research related to technology use in assessment and learning. Mill Creek Elementary School in the Independence School District is located in Independence, Missouri. Hallsville Elementary School in the Hallsville School District is located in Hallsville, Missouri.
  • Research and Training Associates, Inc. conducts the external evaluation for the project.

Project Resources

The University of Missouri - Columbia (MU) team works with the following resources on this project:

  • MU's College of Education, with an enrollment of more than 2,100 graduate and undergraduate students, has evolved into an environment where faculty, staff and students have come to expect extraordinary technology access, support and innovation.
  • The Reflector is a technology rich environment created in the College of Education to actively support and promote high levels of technology utilization and integration in teaching and learning.
  • The Learning and Performance Support (LAPS) team is a technical support group that works directly with networking, hardware and software used in the College of Education.
  • The Center for Technology Innovations in Education (CTIE) is a research and development center dedicated to the reform of teaching and learning methods through the innovative application of technology.
  • The Information Experience Laboratory is a usability testing facility in CTIE. The lab serves the research needs of faculty and students in human-computer interaction, information retrieval, user studies and more.
  • The MU Partnership for Educational Renewal (MPER) is a collaborative organization dedicated to positive systemic educational change. The partnership consists of the MU Colleges of Education, Arts and Science, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), and 80 partner schools in 23 public school districts, working together with students and parents to improve our educational system from preschool through college.
