Partner Work

eMINTS Services

An important ADD-IT consortium partner is eMINTS. "eMINTS (enhancing Missouri's Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies) transforms classrooms into places for learning where teachers and students use multimedia tools to better understand the world, work together and achieve at new and higher levels."

In conjunction with eMINTS, free professional development opportunities are offered to all University of Missouri's beginning teachers, beginning teachers in the Teaching Fellowship Program, and Senior Year On-Site Program (SYOSP) students.

These opportunities include: 1) access to eThemes and 2) professional development training only available to eMINTS Teachers.

eThemes are web-based instructional resources located by trained professionals who, by request, search the Internet to find child-safe, age-appropriate web sites. These professionals write short descriptions of each site and match them to specific grade levels and state standards. The sites and descriptions help teachers identify information/activities for lessons and units. While eThemes are available for anyone to use, the request service (for eMINTS teachers only) is now offered for our beginning teachers, Teaching Fellows, and SYOSP students.
