Lanit

Lanit Consulting, Inc is a technology consulting company in Columbia, MO. In 2002, LANIT was contracted to begin the development of an electronic portfolio management and assessment system for the MU College of Education.

Foliotek is the electronic portfolio system developed for the purpose of storing student artifacts. An on-line tour is available to demonstrate the ways this tool can be used. Senior Year On-Site Program students who have a teacher account can do a practice exercise lesson to learn about ways to use the system. Teaching Fellows and inservice teachers who have a teacher account can also do a practice exercise lesson.

In January, 2006, Lanit developed a student interface for the Foliotek. This system allows K-5 students to add documents to their foliotek account. Teachers can now add assignments to the foliotek account for their students to access and attach files to meet requirements for that assignment. ADD-IT has developed a KTek teacher tutorial that demonstrates the assignment and KTek capabilities.
